Movie Making And Movie Review ? Michael Arndt will write Star ...

After several days speculating on why directors and writers could become part of the new episode VII saga in Star Wars, the project has finally found someone to build from start to finish, at least on paper. Thus Michael Arndt, screenwriter awarded by Oscar Awards and person behind the fantastic films Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine, has written a treatment of more than 40 pages for this film, and surely end writing the script in its entirety.

The gold treatment

While Vulture was the first media that reported this news, Deadline confirmed that Arndt wrote not only treating Episode VII, but also of the other two films of the draft Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm, treatments that had been mentioned by Bob Iger in the press conference about the purchase of the company George Lucas. Apparently the writer will work on early drafts once you finish your task in the aftermath of The Hunger Games.

Arndt Treating now will roll around Hollywood, ending up in the hands of senior managers as Brad Bird, Steven Spielberg, Matthew Vaughn and JJ Abrams, who might become interested enough to join the project and do so the fans are happier than before. However, the franchise comes with a great burden, and many would not want to get involved with it, which is completely understandable.

A fan on board

While Disney did not disclose details of the plot, many sources said that the studio wants to bring back the central trio of Luke Skywalker, the Princess Leia Organa and Han Solo although obviously they are elderly for obvious reasons. None of the original actors had joined the project yet, but it looks like Disney is determined to bring Mark Hamill on board, and both Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher said it would have no problem returning, so the idea would not be so impossible after all.

Arndt is not a writer who distrust because it has a strong relationship with Disney through his work on Pixar (including the upcoming film of Pete Docter) and is a big fan of Star Wars, usually citing examples from the original trilogy his lectures about screenwriting, speaking mainly of excellent end (now he will have to start reliving the new series).

Star Wars Episode VII

Star Wars ? Episode VII was released in 2015. Many more people will join the project, so stay tuned to the news that we will publish on our site.
