Phil Jackson is one of the greatest all-time coaches in NBA history, famously guiding the Chicago Bulls to 6 NBA championships and and the LA Lakers to 5 NBA Championships. He has more championship rings than he has fingers which is quite a feat by any standard.
With numbers like these you'd never expect for a top ranking NBA team to close talks with Jackson and hire a different coach. Well they've done it, ?the LA Lakers have signed Mike D'Antoni former coach of the NY Knicks and Phoenix Suns to the gig.
